Satin and wreaths

I found time last night to begin my sewing/crafting quest. Yeah! And guess what?  I used goodies I already had at home. Goodies that have been patiently waiting for that perfect project. So what did I make? Some pretty satin flowers…

that I saw on Jones Design Company. The satin was a hand-me-down from one of my friends, and the “jewels” were in my stash of little things waiting to be used.

The girls asked me if I was making the flowers for them so I thought “Why not?” I bought some hair clips today over the lunch hour so they’ll have a nice surprise this evening.

While I was downtown getting the hair clips, I stopped by a thrift store and got three books for 25 cents. (Yes, I said 25 cents). I’m going to make one of these (idea via Nesting Place)…

Can’t wait to get started!
